What are Year Representatives?
The system of Year Representatives works particularly well at our school. Any Sacred Heart parent can volunteer to be a Year Rep for their child's year. The role of a Year Rep is evolving to focus more on ‘pastoral care’ ie. connecting parents, buddying new families, encouraging parents’ to support in classroom and school activities, and coordinating social events that bring families together. Year representatives liaise with teachers and encourage all parents in the year group to become involved in planning and running events throughout the year.

Afternoon Pick Up at 3pm
Unless a child is attending “After School Care”, children are collected in the afternoon either by:

Parent or carers collect from school The car gates at the back entrance of the school will be opened just before 3pm. Parents should enter the school and wait behind the orange cones for their child to come to them. This ensures that we can check that all children have been collected by the correct person and those not collected stay safely with the teachers.

Carline Students who are leaving school via the carline are escorted by their teachers to the front steps of the school. They are supervised by teachers while they wait for their parents to come to the top of the line. Please see the attached link for the parent advice.(click to find out more)

Bus Students move from their classroom with their teacher to the bus line. When the buses arrive in Cardinal Street the students are taken to the bus stop by the teacher on duty and then escorted onto the bus. If students are young or catching the bus for the first time parents should meet them at the bus stop closest to their home (click to find out more)

Early Pick Up
Where possible, we encourage appointments to be taken outside of school hours, however, if your child needs to leave early during the day, they will also need to sign out at the office via the Compass Kiosk. Please forward an email with some notice of your child leaving school early to the class teacher and to info@shmosman.catholic.edu.au to advise of the time of pick up and type of appointment and who will be collecting your child.
