Our Community

Sacred Heart School has been providing Catholic education to young children from the local area for over 100 years even though it has existed in its present buildings on the current site since the start of the millennium. Our community has grown over the last 10 year and continues to provide magnificent support for the school's children in a rich variety of ways. We are grateful for this support as without it we would not be able to offer our children and their families the wealth of experiences, resources and facilities that they currently enjoy.

Without our generous sponsors (L.J Hooker for the last 5 years), the Federal Government of Australia (acknowledgements to Right Honourable Julia Gillard, Education Minister 2009), the Catholic Education Office, our parish clergy (a special acknowledgement to Msgr Eugene Harley, Parish Priest who had the vision to create the new school), our Parents and Friends Association and hard-working families we would not have been able to realise the dream of having such a wonderful school as Sacred Heart today.

The extensive and ongoing building and upgrading of our facilities, driven so supportively by our parents through such bodies as the P&F and the Playground Committee, allows us to provide a wonderful environment for our children here at Sacred Heart and truly honour them and let them know that they are loved, valued and respected. Sacred Heart has always been a place of which the community is justifiably proud and with continued support it will go from strength to strength, building on the fine traditions of the past.
